Summer, Russia, Recording, and Moving

Wow, where has the summer gone?!? It seriously seems like summer just began and now it's over already. It was a really busy summer as far as concerts and stuff goes. We did concerts almost every weekend since June. It was a blast.

This summer, I had the oppurtunity to meet a lot of new people, especially 4 girls from Russia. I work at a hotel in Harrisburg, PA, and there were 4 Russians girls who were here on a work exchange program. They left this morning and I miss them already. They were all really great people and I had a blast hanging out with them and learning a little bit of Russian. I'm not very good, but I know a few words and phrases at least. I wish them the best in all they do and hopefull I'll see them again next summer!

Recording time is here!! After a year and a half of writing and arranging, I have 60 new songs for the CD that I've narrowed down to 12. I'm going into the studio to begin production this coming Thursday, September 6th. So, hopefully by November or December, I'll have a new CD out! Woo hoo!!!!

And finally, I'm probably moving next year, and it'll be to 1 of 2 places. I thought about moving to Colorado Springs, CO, because I have family out there and there's some good oppurtunities there that I could get hooked up with. But I think, I may go with my other destination.... Nasvhille, TN. I've been dreaming about doing something in music for so long, and it's time that I take a leap of faith and see what happens. I'm not saying I'm going down to get "discovered" but to do anything I can in music. Maybe I'll get hooked up with a band and play the broadway strip in center city Nashville. Maybe I'll be a studio or tour musician for someone else. Whatever the case may be, I'm sure it'll be a fun journey!!

Well, I guess that's it for now. It's almost fall, so let the new season in life begin...

Considering the move...

Well, I'm back from Colorado.

First, let me say that my brother's wedding was awesome. It was a lot of fun and a great trip! It was so much fun hanging out with all the guys together again. Now, with that all said...

I don't really feel at home though. Pennsylvania is where my home has always been. It's where I've lived my whole life. But while on this trip, I discovered that there's a lot more oppurtunities in Colorado then I had thought. I was asked to be part of an AMAZING worship team as a guitarist at a great church out there. I may have the oppurtunity to teach my nieces and nephew music and give them private lessons.

So, I am considering moving out there for a year. Who knows, it may be a year, and I may feel led to stay there and make it my home. In either case, I'd appreciate lots of prayer as I make this decision.

Hey, How's it going?

Pretty good here. This Saturday, we fly out to Colorado for my brother's wedding. We were supposed to go on Friday, but a flight got cancelled, so we're out of luck. Oh well, as long as I get there, I'm happy. I gotta get my best man speech done soon!

So, anyways, not a whole lot is going on at the moment. Just working like always. I'll be starting production on my new CD soon. I should have already begun, but the guy I'm recording with had some flooding in his house and it ruined some of his equipment (A few keyboards and duplicators and stuff). So for now, it's on hold for a few weeks. We're at a stand still with the recording of our new Chase Nafta CD too. We had someone backing us financially, but some things came up and he's not able to help us at the moment.

But it's all good. Both my CD and the Chase Nafta CD will be released on God's timing, so it's all good. However, since it might be near Christmas till my new CD comes out, I MIGHT (don't hold me to it just yet) record a bonus Christmas CD too.

So, all in all. Things are good. I've been feeling the weight of satan's lies lately, so you can all pray for me with that and I'd appreciate it.
